SMX is seeking a Project Manager (PM) / Service Delivery Manager (SDM) with a solid background in managing cloud engagements and delivering excellence. PM’s will be expected to be familiar with all SMX service offerings (resale, managed services, professional services, digital transformation, etc.) and identity opportunities during project delivery. This position will be remote supporting a Providence, Rhode Island customer.

The successful candidate will be capable of building and maintaining a solid working relationship with coworkers and clients, from pre-sales efforts to engagement delivery. The SDM will oversee the on-boarding of new Cloud Assured Managed Services (CAMS) customers and will be the primary support conduit and liaison for these customers on an on-going basis. The SDM will be the primary point of contact for resolving issues, providing monthly metrics reporting, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.

In addition, the SDM may be asked to support internal operations within the commercial division to help ensure operational excellence and efficiency in our delivery across the breadth of our customer base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Hands-on delivery management, including initiation, planning, and execution of projects and account-related activities, facilitating resolution of issues and roadblocks

+ Oversee and manage the successful on-boarding of new CAMS customers

+ Work with customer to facilitate issue resolution and resolve escalations as needed

+ Develop and present monthly reporting on key metrics

+ Work closely with SMX CAMS product and delivery teams to represent the customer point of view and ensure a continual feedback loop is established

+ Be capable of managing the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously

+ Drive key decisions across projects, manage customer expectations, present and interface with project sponsors, and communicate trade-offs and risks

+ Develop deep relationships with customers that allow SMX to identify opportunities to provide additional services or improve and enhance existing services for better customer support

+ Support pre-sales engagement by representing our CAMS capabilities and approaches to potential customers and partners

+ Assist in developing Statements of Work (SOWs) and Level of Effort (LOE) estimations for new projects

+ Manage internal back-office operations common to services organizations (SOW signatures, invoice issue resolution, collection escalation, etc.)

Required Skills:

+ Knowledge of and experience with Agile and/or Kanban project management approaches

+ Ability to use common reporting, presentation, and data analysis tools for monthly metrics reporting (CloudHealth, Excel, Cognos, Powerpoint, etc.)

+ Demonstrated experience interfacing with customers external to the organization with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations and build relationships

Required Experience:

+ Project management and/or operations leadership experience

+ Experience with IT Operations / Cloud Managed Services (namely AWS)
