Clients
Understands and able to communicate the client’s plan design, including coverage levels and options, eligibility, enrollment, change and termination procedures
Primary contact with client and vendors and responsible for reviewing and resolving cases and uncommon vendor error reports
Process system data updates via case management such as indicative data, election data, dependent, and beneficiary data
Maintain list of vendor contacts
Create system processing documentation and processing calendar to be maintained by the Benefits System Administrator
Manage ongoing administration schedule (ongoing and dual year)
Perform vendor management for clients, such as manual updates and replying to inquiries
Helps manage and maintain the administration implementation checklist until complete for new implementations
Create and communicate agenda for vendor calls in preparation for annual enrollment
Attend internal and external project meetings
Provide backup support to Benefits System Administrator
Manage annual enrollment processes including, updating processing documentation and testing and vendor coordination and obtaining approval
Manage fulfillment inventory with clients
People
Identify and communicate with the service center and administration team: trends, new work, internal documentation updates, daily case volumes
Serve as escalation point for inquiries related to ancillary services such as dependent audit, IMT, COBRA and billing
Lead client web admin training, internal training, guidance, and assistance with all tasks for ongoing work
Excellence
Ensure that all documentation starts from best practices and adheres to standards
Understand system requirements and system specifications
Understand and help support the gathering of requirements and documentation for implementation and ongoing administration processes
Coordinate administration resources, training, process changes, project setup for each project
Create all new procedures as needed and review procedures updated by Benefits System Administrator
Ensure the Benefits System Administrator is completing system processing correctly and in a timely manner
Set up and test data encryption and transmission protocols with client and vendors
Peer review internal procedures annually to ensure they are maintained and up to date
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in responding to and resolving client issues
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of the administrative process as it relates to Health & Welfare and/or Pension benefit plans
Willingness to work in a technical environment utilizing SQL on a daily basis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to schedule work, delegate and monitor progress of others
Professional and responsible approach to work, clients, and associates
Ability to organize and prioritize with strong attention to details
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work independently in a project related work environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to complete multiple projects within established deadlines
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of flexible benefits administration
Bachelors’ degree
SQL query skills
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with
requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for
different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role,
individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the
role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $58,000 – 65,000 per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
