SMX is looking for a Senior IT Functional Analyst to join our team! This position supports a program that requires technical, analytical and program expertise to support data quality analysis and remediation in order to identify, analyze and resolve patient identity, multiple and/or duplicate patient records, unmerges and other data quality issues for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and it’s Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs). An understanding of these processes, the DHA and current/future information systems (i.e. CHCS, DEERS, AHLTA, CoPath, Cerner, etc.) is critical.

As the team lead for SMX on this program, the Senior IT Functional Analyst will work with leadership to support, execute, and evolve the internal analytics strategy for SMX and support the analytics strategy for this program externally. Finally, this position represents SMX with partners and clients for this program and is expected to work with SMX leadership to build our business base within DHA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Serve as the Team Lead for SMX team members and POC for SMX leadership for this program

+ Plan, conduct, and direct analyses of business problems associated with newly developed, or to be developed, functionality for IT applications

+ Plan studies of work problems and processes, such as: communications, information flow, integrated Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) methods, and associated cost analyses

+ Assist developers to interpret and meet identified requirements and quality standards

+ Provide expert analytical and IT support to areas where in-house capabilities are normally gained through extensive, on the job training or, specialized, formal Government or institutional training or certification

+ Define and interpret comprehensive test requirements; Develop strategies, automated and manual, to address those requirements

+ Serve as client liaison and coordinate with sub-contractors, government personnel, and technical experts

+ Responsible for staff training, staff instruction, assigning work, setting priorities and evaluating staff performance

Required Skills and Experience:

+ Bachelor’s Degree and ten (10) years of analytical experience

+ Prior professional experience with data quality management programs for large federal or commercial healthcare systems

+ Prior experience analyzing, verifying, and updating patient identity and demographic data

Desired Skills/Experience:

+ Master’s Degree
