Job Description

WTW is seeking an individual that has knowledge of events and experiential marketing and a passion for establishing operational excellence within events and marketing teams. This role will lead event operations and be responsible for building the operational foundation for the WTW Global Events Team. This role will manage our event platform technologies for virtual programs, event management Cvent tool, and our central budget. The operations manager must be able to develop frameworks and guidance for event challenges that need solutions with a strong focus on evaluating best practices, driving process improvement, simplicity, and rigor. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for all event tools and resources and will create templates as needed. They will ensure the team is driving event innovation into strategy and priorities.

The Role

+ Manage overall operations for WTW’s Global Events team

+ Collaborate on strategic priorities, participate in fiscal year planning, and lead ongoing process improvement initiatives.

+ Manage virtual event platforms for programs led by marketers

+ Troubleshoot event platform issues that arise to drive improvements for marketing.

+ Serve as in-house expert on the events management platform (Cvent); provide training and communicate best practices to users; develop and maintain documentation of related processes, procedures, and integrations to ensure business continuity.

+ Project manage and onboard online platforms, learning management systems, web sites, or similar online systems/platforms where applicable.

+ Build communication plans, launch plans, roadmaps and other documents.

+ Develop and maintain event tools and resources that support our event marketing enablement program.

+ Evaluate current and new vendors for the WTW Global Events team. Identify vendors to fill current gaps in vendor portfolio.

+ Use actionable insights to update and fine tune operational excellence as needed.

+ Develop KPIs & analytics to measure success of programs, make modifications/recommendations for future programs based on performance analysis and work with Analytics team to create reporting framework.

+ Owns monthly/quarterly budget reporting to Global Events Leader and priority event measurements.

The Requirements

+ At least 3 years of relevant work experience

+ Experience in an operations role (event industry settings preferred)?

+ Knowledge of event technology to include Cvent & virtual event platforms

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills

+ Ability to understand and interpret complex event challenges, while providing swift and scalable solutions

+ Ability to be flexible and manage multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines

+ Work collaboratively across the globe to build community among event stakeholders

+ Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to effectively frame issues and summarize information for different levels.

+ Proven track record of agility in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

+ Experience and willingness to perform some manual work for event setups and tear down of events.

+ Willingness to travel as needed including some occasional evening and weekend work.
