To develop and execute site Engineering, Facilities and Maintenance Strategy and to maintain and continuously develop production machinery and supporting systems so that the strategic and annual goals are achieved.
Lead a culture of Continuous Improvement with all engineering reports in line with the site methodology.
Leads, coaches and models the high performance behaviours to reports cultivating a performance-driven culture.
Coordinate investment and development direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
Ensure the functionality of advanced maintenance at the factory and develop predictive maintenance capabilities
Lead the local technical support organization by carrying out agreed support services efficiently and provide support in problem situations
Launch and implement procedures in response to changes in factory's capacity needs
Negotiate contracts and propose amendments/improvements to existing contracts with external maintenance firms in order to ensure optimal service at optimal cost.
Control and optimize site budget spent and investment plans in order to comply with the factory targets and long term strategy
Analyze process performance trends to adapt predictive and preventative program in order to achieve the factory objectives (OPE, service levels, waste reduction etc), strive for continuous improvement in manufacturing technology and to satisfy customer needs
Bring own contribution to the local management team by supporting and taking ownership for the common targets, even if not directly responsible for the issues in hand
Report out on relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) as requested.
Leads the effort to implement best practices within job scope; expected to participate in activities designed to improve Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), quality and production.
University education in technology
5 years relevant experience
3+ years' experience in manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to make well-reasoned decisions, both independently and as part of a team.
Project Management experience
Manufacturing in a Medical device background.
Process technology understanding
Facilities management experience desirable
