The Jackson Laboratory has an opportunity available for a Sterile Processing Technician.
The Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is responsible for the operations of the Glassware Service and contributes to Shared Equipment operations. The primary responsibility is the daily operation of the service's washer/dryers, steam sterilizers, and other associated equipment to ensure cleanliness and sterilization of laboratory glassware, utensils, and other implements for lab personal. Since the Glassware Service is a fee-for-service, the SPT tracks user charges and completes billing information for appropriate re-imbursement. In addition to this responsibility, the Technician provides periodic maintenance (PM's) services on various shared scientific equipment such as refrigeration units, autoclaves, and/or other associated and administrative tasks assigned their supervisor.
