SMX is seeking an experienced and motivated Director, Digital to join our Cloud Services Business Unit (CSBU) leadership team within the Defense and National Security Division, and work with some of the best Cloud Architects and Engineers in the market. This position is 100% remote. CSBU is embarking on an aggressive growth strategy, and this Director’s role is seen as critical to the achievement of Division-level and CSBU-level goals and objectives related to digital transformation in Defense and targeted National Security customer communities.

This Director. Digital will support the execution of a wide variety of SMX digital transformation projects including ISV Digital Accelerator, business process automation, and mission application deployment(s) / modernization efforts. This Director must possess extensive senior-level customer strategy / advisory engagement experience.

Responsibilities – Director:

+ Supports the Cloud Business Unit Defense & National Security Division with business development activities to include new market capture opportunities and proposal development.

+ Identifies, shapes, and leads the capture of prime and subcontract opportunities for SMX with customers in current and emerging market verticals.

+ Identifies and supports the capture of additional workshare within current contracts.

+ Supports Division leadership in establishing and driving strategic direction for growth in FY23+.

+ Owns and drives assigned program and project growth portfolio and be accountable for delivering results.

+ Interact with Division / client leadership and program/project teams to define requirements and identify solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, and regulations.

+ Provide leadership guidance and direction to personnel to ensure proper, timely completion of work.

+ Manages project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the project with respect to contract requirements.

+ Provide personnel with timely, constructive, and actionable feedback that increases individual and team effectiveness

+ Cultivate effective working relationships with client, SMX, and industry partner teams to maximize productivity, customer service delivery, and creation of new service offerings.

Required Skills and Experience:

+ Clearance Required: Active DoD TS/SCI

+ Certification Requirement: Project Management Professional (PMP)

+ Excellent leadership and client relationship management skills

+ Excellent business analysis skills and consulting toolkit

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

+ Experience managing customer transformation and/or strategy engagements including integrations of key technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), preferably for DoD or National Security organizations

+ Self-motivated; ability to maintain excellence with minimum supervision

+ Proven track record of driving consultative / advisory projects, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, setting timelines, holding people accountable and delivering projects on-time and on-budget.

+ 10+ years of related experience.

+ Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field.
