Interview applicants applying for mortgage loans by performing the following duties.  The essential functions are noted below; however, at Camden National responsibilities may evolve over time given organization, technological and/or staffing changes.  At any point other duties may be assigned.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Interview loan applicants to document income, debt, and credit history.

  • Request documents for verification such as income tax return, bank account number, purchase agreement, and property description.

  • Determine if applicant meets establishment standards for further consideration.

  • Inform applicant of closing costs such as appraisal, credit report, and notary fees.

  • Answer applicant’s questions and obtain signature on information authorization forms.

  • Submit application forms to Mortgage Loan Processor for verification of application information.

  • Call applicant or other persons to resolve discrepancies or asks for additional documentation as necessary.

  • Inform applicant of loan denial or acceptance.

  • Visit establishments such as real estate brokers and builders to promote mortgage service.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university

  • 3+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Due to a high volume of travel, a valid driver’s license and vehicle are required


Skills and Abilities: 

  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, and percentages

  • Read and interpret bank documents and write routine reports and correspondence

  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

  • Travel to various branch locations
