The Division of Psychology and Human Development at the University of Maine Farmington is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology.

This a full-time teaching position (non-tenure track) with Psychology, beginning either January 1, 2023 or September 1, 2023. Teaching responsibilities will be in the area of counseling/clinical psychology. Courses might include crisis intervention, career counseling, abnormal psychology, child and family counseling, as well as courses in the incumbent’s areas of personal expertise or interest. We seek an active clinical/counseling professional with the intellectual charisma to be an exceptional educator, drawing on their experience and expertise to engage undergraduate and master’s students preparing for mental health careers.

This position reports to the chair of the division.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ An earned master’s (or doctoral) degree in counseling psychology or clinical mental health counseling.

+ A minimum of three years clinical practice.

Preferred:

+ Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a clinician in Maine preferred.

+ College teaching experience preferred.
