- This is a full time, benefit eligible position working Monday - Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM -

The primary function of this role is manual and clerical work regarding the receipt, storage, maintenance and issuance of materials, equipment, food and other items needed for this long-term care facility.  This role is responsible for accuracy and promptness in receiving stock and filling requisitions and supplies.  This person may also perform food preparation or assist with cleaning as assigned.  This person will work under the direction of the Director of Nutrition and in their absence, a designee.  This person's duties include signing for and receiving all supplies and equipment for the Nutritional Services Department, checking quality, weights and specifications to assure compliance with order/invoice, adherence to Federal, State and City regulations and Health Code.  Reports to supervisor regarding receipt of supplies that are damaged or do not meet specifications, as well as any shortages of original order.  Unpacks and stores all supplies and equipment efficiently and accurately.  Fills and delivers food product to unit kitchens as needed.  Secures proper signature to accept supplies and equipment for facility.  Keeps storeroom clean and organized, as well as freezers and refrigeration equipment in accordance to Federal, State and City Health codes.  Informs supervisor(s) of oversupply or undersupply of items and performs routine clerical functions, as well as assist in kitchen as support team worker as needed. 

Requirements for this position include must possess a valid Maine driver’s license, be a high school graduate or equivalent with previous storekeeper experience, or a combination of experience and or training that provides the knowledge skills and abilities. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, utilize basic computer skills and make simple math calculations. Must also be able to work in different temperature zones, i.e., heat and extreme cold, and be able to drive a cargo truck to deliver items to other buildings off campus.  The successful candidate will be subject to a pre-employment physical.  Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. 

CEBA Union - Grade 5 – $16.45/hour, with contractual step increases. This position is eligible for additional Federal Cares Act money – current pay of $5 additional hourly pay.
