White & Bradstreet is Maine’s largest new and used truck parts supplier, serving customers globally, nationally, and just around the corner. Our team is seeking a dependable person to work in our salvage yard Monday through Friday 7:30am – 5:00pm (up to 5 hours of overtime weekly). Primary role and responsibilities include:

• Drain hydraulic oils, motor oils, freon, antifreeze, and diesel fuels from vehicles, properly storing all fluids in the appropriate containers according to company procedure based on EPA regulations
• Assist yard workers with truck dismantling and parts removal, using hand tools, air tools, and cutting torches
• Provide basic facility maintenance including cleaning, basic repair and yard upkeep
• Records vehicle information accurately and legibly using the Truck Parts Inventory system on the company’s mobile tablet
• Provides service to customers as needed
• Follows yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Performs other duties as assigned including checking the availability of parts, working on vehicles in the shop, and processing vehicles to be moved into the salvage yard

Required qualifications include:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Basic computer skills
• Must have own hand tools, company provides large tools and air tools
• Effective communication skills and positive/professional demeanor
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and engage in physical labor and frequent repetitive lifting up to 75lbs
• Other essential physical demands include but are not limited to: standing, bending, and moving intermittently
• Experience in the commercial or automotive vehicle field and basic knowledge of the function of vehicle components (preferred but not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
