The Business

The Research and Innovation Center (RIC) serves as a Willis Towers Watson center of excellence for developing research papers, synthesizing technical developments, and managing and implementing new data resources and tools.

The Benefits Data Source (BDS) teams work directly with consultants to design and deliver benefits benchmarking solutions to clients around the world. The teams focus on the following activities: (a) build/maintain the database infrastructure, including standardized tools and reports, (b) maintain the integrity of the data through data cleaning, analysis and reporting; © develop customized client reports and consult directly with clients in situations where BDS analytics are a major part of a consulting project.

As the BDS Growth Lead, you will work as part of the BDS team, serving as a resource to our global team. The position is open in any Willis Towers Watson office in Canada or in the U.S. This role is full-time reduced hours (between 60% and 80% of full-time schedule).

Performance Objectives:

Excellence

+ Communicate to internal audiences/stakeholders about BDS products and services. Provide demonstration of BDS technology.

+ Manage product launches and communications regarding product updates

+ Provide tools for consultants to market our products and services (brochures, internal/external websites, ensure consistency of collateral in non-BDS applications)

+ Coordinate other collateral, such as branding for reports and applications, with stakeholders

+ Collect feedback to inform product decision-making. Survey colleagues regarding product enhancements and priorities throughout the year and present findings to BDS leadership and other stakeholders.

+ Analyze the competitive landscape. Keep a database of our competitors, understand the arguments they use to sell against us and recommend ways to push back against their arguments. Keep a running list of wins and losses and lessons learned from each. Collect intelligence through colleague discussions and competitor website review.

People

+ Maintain a direct line of communication with the BDS Product Development and Operations Leads, including strategic group planning.

+ Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively with teams across regions

+ Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with colleagues in other Willis Towers Watson offices

+ Manage a small group of Client Service colleagues

+ Coordinate closely with a small group of Regional BDS leads

Clients

+ Act as a liaison with the business and/or with clients as needed

+ Direct BDS Client Services colleagues in responding to inquiries

+ Provide input to or review of client proposals

+ Provide guidance and support for driving participation initiatives across different markets

Financial

+ Contribute to the development of the marketing budget

+ Manage costs to ensure planned expenditure is met, including reporting and analysis of marketing effectiveness and impact

Requirements

+ Strong marketing experience including campaign management and content development

+ General knowledge of employee benefits

+ Well organized and detail oriented, effective time management skills

+ Able to work under tight deadlines across multiple projects

+ Able to work both independently and with a diverse group of local, regional and global teams

+ Familiarity with a consulting environment

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in business, ideally with a concentration in marketing

+ North America, time zone location ideal; flexibility in working hours desired, for collaboration with other regions

+ Minimum of 8 years of experience
