Sayres has an opening for a Trial Card Analyst in Bath, ME with an Active Secret security clearance.
The PMS385 Trial Card Analyst will support the PMS385 Program primarily with the Discrepancy Management Process to include Database Management, Underway Shipboard Trials Support, Laptop Configuration/Networking, Metrics, and Data Quality and Configuration checks. Position requires onsite support from Bath, ME and throughout the year to multiple locations.
This position includes supporting the STIG/Accreditation requirements for trials laptops; tracking all GFE trials related material; supporting all underway trial events (requires travel); serving as a database administrator for ETC/TSM trial card software applications, providing detailed metrics analysis, and more.
Perform duties as Database Administrator:
Provide trial card support utilizing TSM and ETC trial card applications.
Setup standalone laptop networks onboard ship for use by Government Inspection Team, providing administrative and IT support for the network and customers using the network and applications.
Execute large data transfer to and from the standalone network.
Process and analyze large quantities of data for the creation of summary metrics packages and various reports.
Be able to travel to multiple locations multiple times throughout the year in support of onboard trial events.
Be able to get underway on a ship for at sea trial events, climbing ladders, and walking on steel decks, lifting heavy equipment cases.
Serve as a liaison with onsite Sayres trial card support personnel and government customers who are in multiple locations.
Establish detailed records of all processes and build analytical tools in excel/access, as needed, to support efficient data analysis/evaluation.
Perform Duties as Systems Administrator (backup):
Responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of a small (<100 endpoint) population of Government-owned laptop assets in support of at-sea operations of a mobile Electronic Trial Cards (ETC) network.
This position will serve as a system administrator for the trials laptops, to include understanding all software, system requirements and execution of all accreditation requirements and processes.
Will be required to apply security controls listed in applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) as distributed by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and will need to perform and manage scans and their results using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) software suite.
Will be required to perform work within the bounds of an applicable Authority to Operate (ATO) document and must be able to perform all technical functions on assigned assets from initial setup to end-user operation.
Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Ability to currently obtain or Active Secret security clearance verifiable in DISS prior to start date.
Preferred But Not Required Skillets of Qualified Candidates:
Bachelor's degree (no specified field).
Minimum of one (1) year of shipbuilding industry experience.
Technical and production deficiency management experience, including experience with ETC and TSM.
Experience with integration testing and trials, including deficiency management, corrective action tracking, and engineering change management processes.
Knowledge of ship delivery processes, post-delivery work package development, and Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) planning and execution.
Microsoft Windows 7, 10, Server 2016 VM Management.
Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or newer.
SQL database experience.
Installation, setup, configuration, and maintenance of various hardware and software installations.
Network setup and configuration.
Disk image management, including full-disk encryption techniques (particularly BitLocker and Symantec Encryption Desktop) and image preparation and deployment to assigned hardware using the Preboot eXecution Environment (PXE).
DISA ACAS software (particularly Tenable SecurityCenter and Nessus) on RHEL 6.
Product key and activation management for Windows 10, Office 2019, and Office 2010.
