Title: Renys Sales Person

It is expected of every Renys employee to be willing to step into any role/job at any time as needed, regardless of job description.

Position summary Customer service skills are top priority. Greet Every customer, with a smile, within 10 feet. Communicate verbally with the customer as well as with the other sales associates. Assist customers with locating products in the store and explain product features and benefits. Proactively approach customers to answer questions they may have about a product and engage them in friendly/appropriate conversation. Be the Host/Hostess of Renys. Process freight efficiently and safely while maintaining a friendly, family atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing outstanding customer service by greeting and engaging the customer and tending to their needs.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
  • Reading and complying with all company daily notices.
  • Being aware of any promotional offers, sale and flyer items.
  • Following standard operating procedures of the store and being aware of all emergency procedures.
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient handling of freight from the truck to the shelves and racks.
  • Ensuring that the goods stacked on the shelves are correctly priced, complies with the merchandising standards of the store and that they are not damaged.
  • Completing all tasks assigned by the manager.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order of the sales floor, back rooms, and rest rooms by vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping fronting and facing, folding or hanging merchandise.
  • Assisting the customers at checkout by ringing merchandise into the registers, ensuring merchandise rings in correctly, promptly asking for supervisory assistance when needed, bagging and seeing that the customer is helped out to their car when needed.
  • Coordinating and synchronizing work with other departments of the store and working where the demand is greater for that day.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all cycle counts, filling transfers, and filling order forms for special orders.
  • Reporting loss and damage of products, customer feedback to the store manager.
  • Being on time and working your full scheduled weekly hours.

Skills and Specifications

  • Possess good verbal as well as written communication skills.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and maintaining a positive attitude for interacting with customers and understanding their needs.
  • Ability of working independently and in a team and meeting assigned objectives or tasks.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, meet tasks and coordinate with team members.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, walking, climbing stairs, climbing ladders and lifting up to 20 lbs.
