Product Manager II - VetConnect Plus

Job Description

As the product manager for VetConnect PLUS, you will be responsible for the evolution of the VC+ results services & APIs that underpin the software. You will be responsible for driving and supporting key product and feature development initiatives across the VetConnect PLUS product, as well as overseeing the completion of a critical platform upgrade program to move VC+ results services and APIs to more modern and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Working alongside a group of highly skilled and driven Product Managers, you will be part of the team responsible for advancing the success of this critical software application through a deep appreciation of customer needs, strong technical understanding and an ability to prioritize and balance business needs alongside platform health.

You will have a solid Product Management and / or Product Marketing background, with strong skills in stakeholder management, prioritization of work and writing business requirements and in parallel will be able to play the Product Owner role for our AGILE development teams.

VetConnect PLUS is a software solution for global Veterinary Practices designed to provide diagnostic workflow and decision support solutions.

In this role you:

You will communicate with both internal and external customers to gain feedback on user product experiences and opportunities.
You will partner with and oversee the VC+ engineering teams to help drive successful execution of world class software products.
You will lead cross functional core teams within projects and will have the ability to work successfully in a matrix organization.
You will work closely with Line of Business stakeholders to ensure alignment of feature development strategies and roadmaps.
You will present regular feature and product development updates to the team and to key stakeholders

What You Will Need to Succeed
You need to be a strategic and critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented, matrix organization. You must have a commercially focused mind with strong customer knowledge backed with sound judgment and ideally you have a good working understanding of the concept of 'API as a product'
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or relevant technical discipline * 3-5 years product management and/or product marketing experience.
General knowledge/experience with healthcare/diagnostic technologies
Preferred experience: Customer facing software product management; enterprise software product and/or marketing experience.
Strong execution and impact focus - including demonstrated drive, initiative, break through thinking, and business results.
Strong working knowledge of Agile and Scrum principals
Ideally, you bring a proven track record of managing products and projects in a global environment
Highly effective communication skills (presentations, correspondence, and 1-on-1 at all levels and across global organization).
You are agile and can work well in environments where objectives and priorities are reviewed and assessed regularly.
Customer focus with demonstrated track record of leveraging a variety of tools to understand underlying customer needs and drive translation to product requirements.
