We are looking for a passionate, energetic dentist to join our team! (Possibility of loan repayment)
Position Summary: Performs professional, high-quality dental services to patients with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Essential Job Functions:
o Provides competent and thorough assessment and treatment.
o Provides referral for specialty care, case management, and hygienist care as appropriate.
o Maintains regulations and licensure.
o Performs essential dentistry services within professional ability, including, but not limited to: extractions, restorations, impressions, x-rays, and oral exams.
o Encourages appropriate services through written treatment plans and referrals.
o Promotes oral health counseling for patients.
o Responsible for patient clinical chart recordings and treatment plans.
o Attends required staff meetings and, as requested, participates in program planning.
o Provides preventative oral health education.
o Provides mentorship and teaching to dental students.
o Maintains professional education and knowledge on dental procedures and practices.
o Communicates with team members to induce a positive and productive work environment.

o Demonstrated ability to perform all aspects of basic dentistry services and work as a team member.
o Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong commitment to public health dentistry.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
o Must hold a license to practice dentistry in the State of Maine. (However, where a license has been applied for but not yet issued, the dentist may work under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist until the license is issued.)
o Must be registered with the State of Maine Board of Dental Examiners
o Healthcare basic life support/CPR.

OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Exposure Classification:
Category I. Position involves tasks that involve the potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues or a potential for spills or splashes of them.
Required Safety Equipment: Safety eyeglasses/ Face shield, surgical mask/N95, gloves, and gowns.
