Job Description:

At Regions, the Cryptography Engineer is responsible for developing complex security systems to encrypt sensitive data. This role designs, builds, and tests advanced cryptographic solutions to improve security that protects Regions’ environment, customers, and employees.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Designs, builds, and tests innovative cryptographic solutions

+ Implement quality and performance modules

+ Collaborates with technology leaders to integrate cryptographic solutions into the product design

+ Develops solutions involving advance cryptographic algorithm for new product in incubation

+ Define solutions, provide estimates on effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility

+ Enhances directive controls, to multiple assessments to vet gaps for needed enhancements

+ Combines specific cryptographic platforms to centralize controls for program progression

+ May manage corporate encryption technology

+ Associates at this level may be specialize Cert management/PKI and are responsible for the Enterprise PKI Architecture/Design strategy and road map

+ Takes initiative and responsibility for achieving desired results

+ May serve as resource to associates with less experience

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Six (6) years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology

Preferences

+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field(s)

+ Base Technology or Security certification (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCENT, CCNA, MCSA, etc.)

+ Knowledge of data classification solutions

+ Knowledge of cryptographic implementations at media, file, and application levels

Skills and Competencies

+ Ability to articulate complex technical concepts or scenarios to both technical and non-technical audiences

+ Strong ability to evaluate situations, make recommendations, and take effective action

+ Strong verbal, written communication, and organization skills

+ Strong Excellent organizational, research, analytical and/or problem-solving skills

+ Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more security domains

Core experience and skill set we need

+ 2- 3 years of experience managing and implementing Microfocus Securedata

+ 2-3 years of experience managing and implementing Hardware security modules

Nice to have knowledge/ experience

+ Experience with cloud native key management and cryptography products

+ Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such PCI DSS, PCI PIN, and NIST 800-57

+ Previous experience of HSM Keyblock migration

+ IT Experience within Payments or Banking industry

+ Familiarity with working within blended infrastructure environments containing both cloud, mainframe, and traditional distributed enterprise environments.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position.

$126,990.00 USD
