L.L.Bean is currently searching for Lead Internal Auditor to join the Audit and Security team located in Freeport, Maine. (Working Remotely is an option)
Position Purpose: Primary role is to independently identify, plan, conduct and formally report on complex audit assignments, including IT audits as assigned. No Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) or SEC reporting required! Instead our Internal Audit team can focus on projects that make impactful improvements to L.L.Bean by strengthening the control environment, and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations.
+ Execute concurrent audits and tests of internal controls with limited supervision, including the development of practical recommendations to address control weaknesses or process inefficiencies ensuring that each recommendation is aligned with and supported by the level of risk identified.
+ Prepare a professional, well-documented audit report at the conclusion of the audit engagements.
+ Provide planning and testing support for the annual external audits.
+ Provide risk and control consulting to business partners as the subject matter expert on system implementations and other relevant projects.
+ Help prepare presentations for Audit Committee Meetings and Board of Directors.
+ Assist in the identification and prioritization of audit risk areas during the development of the annual audit plan.
+ Develop and maintain business relationships with leadership in assigned business areas.
+ Assume additional related responsibilities as requested.
+ Ensures compliance with the L.L.Bean comprehensive Health and Safety program by knowing and following all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and expectations. Takes immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions.

+ BA/BS required, with preference to Management, Accounting, Finance, IT or other related field
+ 7+ years of audit, financial or consulting experience
+ Certification: CPA, CIA or CISA preferred
+ Advanced MS Office Skills. Experience with SAP, Manhattan, Workday, SQL is preferred.
+ Advanced oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
