Bargaining Unit/Salary Range: MEA Faculty; $44,701.90 - $51,821.75 dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities: EMCC is seeking an automotive technology instructor to begin August 22, 2022. The chosen candidate will teach the equivalent of a full load of courses in a variety of topics including automotive safety and light vehicle repair, basic and advanced electrical systems, shop management, manual transmissions & driveline, engine performance & diagnosis, steering & suspension, brake systems, engine repair, automotive heating & air conditioning, drivability & emission controls, transmissions & transaxles. Other duties include advising students and serving on college committees.
Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in automotive technology and 5-7 years of experience in the field. Master ASE Automotive Certification; with additional certification in G1 and L1, knowledgeable in State of Maine motor vehicle inspection requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. 10 years’ experience in the Automotive field with EV experience, Ability to support at-risk students. Program and curriculum development skills. Collaborative, creative and passionate about teaching and learning.
