Our work depends on a Process Architect joining our team to support CMS activities in a MD location.

At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Process Architect supporting CMS, you will be trusted to develop business, functional and system user stories and requirements for large-scale web applications, utilizing Agile methodologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

+ Utilize Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, to develop business requirements and translate into detailed functional, user, and system user stories

+ Develop Gap Analysis documentation to define customers’ business needs

+ Support the team to ensure implementation meets specifications/expectations

+ Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to generate use cases and supporting materials, such as flowcharts, context diagrams, wireframes, interface system diagrams, and data flows

+ Work closely with the Subject Matter Experts and understand their needs across the software development lifecycle

+ Based on the need, may work with the Scrum Master or Product Owner, define user stories and epics, participate in scrum ceremonies such as grooming, prioritizing, ranking, estimation, validate and certify, daily standup calls, track status and provide velocity reports.

+ Experience and expertise in requirements gathering, system design, documentation, development, testing, integration, and working directly with customers.

+ Experience in creating, improving, updating and maintaining SDLC documentation.

+ Attends and participates in all software release and User Acceptance Testing meetings and PI Planning sessions.

+ Performs post-implementation checkout after each monthly release


+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

+ 6 years of related technical experience

+ 4 years of experience in requirements capture requirements management and requirements analysis activities in all phases of the software development life cycle. Classroom experience does not count toward years of experience; experience must be relevant business experience.

+ 4 years of experience in: (1) developing “as is” and “to be” and context diagrams; (2) translating high level business requirements into detailed use cases and flow diagrams; (3) developing detailed user, functional and system requirements; and (4) developing or assessing Interface Control Documents

+ 3 years of experience in large, web-based, cutting edge, web application development projects, using the Agile methodology

+ 1 year of experience with support tools, such as JIRA, Remedy, ServiceNow, and HP ALM

Desired Education and Experience

+ CMS or in the Health Care Industry experience

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences

+ Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources

+ Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority

+ Work effectively and efficiently as a team member in high-stress and time-sensitive situations

+ SCRUM Master certification or the equivalent
