Job Description

Come join the Facilities Maintenance and Operations team @ The Jackson Laboratory as a Building Systems Automation Technician I in our Ellsworth, Maine facility!

Key Responsibilities:
Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building automation and fire detection/protection systems.
Working up to personal ability level in other Maintenance trades as needed.
Participate in an on call rotation that may require work outside of normal business hours.
Maintains a zero personal injury record and clean workplace.

Minimum two year degree in Electrical Technology or related field OR HS equivalency and 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Knowledge of current automation systems such as Honeywell, Johnson Controls or other similar manufacturers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to work as team player with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated proficiency using current Windows based computer programs such as Word and Excel.
