Additionally, in 2017, UMA started offering a program for remote pilots flying small Unmanned Aircraft or drones. Our 8-course UAS certificate program allows you to become a certified FAA remote pilot capable of being hired by many Maine businesses or establishing your own business offering aviation services. The University of Maine at Augusta seeks a part-time instructor to teach Aviation Law courses in the Aviation program. + Teaching experience.

+ Experience with aviation or products liability defense, as well as aircraft purchase and management issues.

+ JD Degree with emphasis in Aviation related legal issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ A background in aviation, such as training or certification as a pilot is a plus
