The University of Maine at Augusta’s Nursing Program has part-time openings for adjunct instructors for the pre-licensure BSN program to teach students in onsite nursing skills laboratory and clinical settings in Brunswick . Responsibilities include: Teaching laboratory and/or clinical courses in Brunswick . Laboratory and clinical course teaching opportunities include Health Assessment, Foundations of Nursing, Mental Health and Wellness, Caring for Adults I and II, and Nursing Care of the Family. UMA’s Nursing Program is taught through a concept-based curriculum which emphasizes caring science. We seek candidates who demonstrate expertise in evidence-based best practices in teaching nursing, a passion for nursing and teaching, a commitment to supporting diversity and student success, and a desire to join and collaborate with program faculty to implement these practices. + Current unencumbered Maine or compact state RN license, or eligibility for Maine licensure

+ A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

+ Clinical Practice within the past five years in area of expertise

Preferred Qualifications:

+ A Master of Science degree in Nursing

+ Prior teaching and/or clinical supervision experience at the college level

+ Certification as an Advanced Holistic Nurse (AHNCC), or interest to seek certification
