Wastewater O&M Technician - R01746

at Woodard & Curran, Inc in Portland, Maine, United States

Job Description

Woodard & Curran is seeking men and women to join our dedicated and talented team at our Public Water Supply District #2 / East Central Missouri Project in OFallon, Missouri--to provide quality water and/or wastewater service to our customers. Working in the water/sewer industry is a very rewarding, stable career--generally unaffected by changes in the economy; and there is no career more rewarding or respectful of the environment than providing essential, quality water/wastewater service.

Woodard & Curran, a progressive operations and maintenance and engineering consulting firm, is seeking men and women who are interested in a career in water and wastewater utilities. We manage and operate water and wastewater systems for our clients with proficiency, integrity, creativity, and tenacity. That is how we make a difference to our customers and our planet. Our company was founded on a simple concept: provide a safe and enjoyable place to work with opportunity, integrity, and commitment--and we attract talented, like-minded people. Those people are at the heart of our firm, operating water and wastewater systems and solving water and environmental challenges for our clients.

What will you be doing?

Positions are available for licensed, experienced operations and maintenance professionals, for inexperienced individuals looking for their first full-time job, or those in the water/sewer industry seeking to make a career change.

Those filling these rewarding full-time positions will be part of a team responsible for the operation and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and/or process control at water and wastewater facilities.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Positive attitude and work ethic.
  • High School graduate or equivalent. A mechanical/technical/vocational school background or experience would be a plus.
  • A valid Missouri motor vehicle operator's license. A commercial drivers license (CDL) would be a plus.
  • The ability to perform manual labor. Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.

Woodard & Curran is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.

Woodard & Curran is a Drug Free Workplace.
