This position is responsible for working independently or as a team member. Responsible for the de-icing and clearing of snow from walkways, thresholds, and other areas as needed on the Bowdoin College campus. We are looking for someone who is able to work as efficiently as possible, promote job worksite safety, provide excellent customer service, and exhibits pride and quality workmanship. Must be able to work on-call, as needed, during storms. This is a great crew and team to work with-come and join us for the winter!

This position is $20/hr, casual, non-benefits eligible. This position is eligible for emergency pay during College specified winter emergencies and will receive double pay during those periods (heavy winter storms).

Education/Skills Requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to work independently and as a team.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

Must know how to shovel, de-ice, sand and salt. Operating snow removal equipment is a plus!

Standard Work Days and Hours

This an on-call position and the employee must be available during winter storms. Varied hours, up to 20 per week, non-benefits eligible.
