Job Description

The IT Project Manager (PM) is accountable for the execution of project discovery, planning & design, deliver & build, and closeout of projects. Throughout the project lifecycle, the PM will be the primary contact for internal customers and external partners on the projects they manage. The PM will effectively communicate with all Stakeholders and recognize resource requirements and project deliverables to meet customer expectations. They will also be directly responsible for building project schedules and overseeing quality control of the project until turn-over is complete.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools
Preparation of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and identify problem areas
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
Conduct project closeout and create a report of lessons learned in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Collaborate with Project Delivery Excellence team to develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
Acquisition & Deployment
Estimate role and resource loads to define project participants that will best achieve project goals
Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
Facilitate the process to secure appropriate vendor/system selection
Responsible for communication and readiness planning for successful project turnover
Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during the project cycle
Operational Management
Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
Develop project plans and associated communications documents
Assist project team to define project tasks and responsibilities and manage deliverables as necessary
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, project artifacts, and presentations
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Qualifications/ Requirements

Education & Experience
Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or Business Management preferred; five or more years in relevant experience or equivalent combination
Minimum 3 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of IT project delivery, process development, and execution
Competent and proficient understanding of Project Management software platforms; Planview PPM Pro, ProjectPlace, LeanKit experience as a project manager desirable
Technical writing, including the ability to understand a business problem, draft requirements, and translate into executable tasks
Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Windows, Office365,
Background in construction a plus
