Job Description

The goals of the Project Development Manager position are to identify opportunities and drive the execution of Cianbro Development Projects to provide long-term predictable revenue, a higher-than-normal return on investment, and construction opportunities for the Cianbro Companies. This will include understanding market economic drivers, objective risk assessment including State and Federal policy, and overall project feasibility. This position will report to the General Manager of Cianbro Development Corporation (CDC).

Job Responsibilities
Perform industry research on emerging trends and identify and explore new opportunities, with a focus on energy storage
Remain current on local, state, regional, and federal policy issues as they relate to renewable energy including trade group participation
Continue to identify and develop new strategic relationships with potential partners, engineering firms, subconsultants and subcontractors, and major equipment suppliers
Maintain existing and develop new relationships with local Planning Boards, State and Federal Agencies, working closely with our Environmental Manager
Drive project development activity, including preliminary engineering, permitting, interconnect, offtake, cost and scheduling, and monitoring change that could affect the likelihood of success
Gather key financial inputs and assumptions working closely with the Director of Finance on financial modeling of projects to achieve go/no-go determination
Facilitate pre-construction efforts including internal/external outreach, scope development, permitting support, interconnect, schedule development, subcontractor/supplier quoting, and working closely with corporate estimating to complete proposal development
Remain engaged with operational business units during construction execution including partner/customer and subcontractor relations, and facilitating industry best practices and continuous improvement
Qualifications/ Requirements
Management and leadership capabilities
Experience in development, pre-construction, and construction in New England
Energy industry technical knowledge including industry relationships
Project controls familiarity including cost and scheduling experience
