We are excited for a new opportunity to hire a full time Health & Safety Program Manager based out of our South Paris office. Community Concepts, is a Maine non-profit whose mission is to provide leadership, education and financial resources to Maine residents to help them meet immediate basic needs while providing families with assistance to help them move out of poverty and become self-sufficient members of the community. The Health & Safety Program Manager will work closely with our Children’s Services Department and Human Resources Team. This position will provide coaching and technical assistance to the Head Start program options regarding Head Start Performance Standards in the program content areas of health and nutrition. This position also serves as an advocate for Head Start children and families in local communities. The Health & Safety Program Manager will be responsible for tracking the agency’s employee’s health requirements. This position will work closely with the Director of Human Resources for planning around safety and public health/pandemic issues that may arise. This position assists with developing health policies, monitors health data reports, supervises a Health Coordinator and Health Assistant, provides health related trainings for staff and families, and works within an interdisciplinary team setting that integrates Head Start service areas to address identified concerns for children. This is a 40 hour position based in South Paris with travel throughout our service area of Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford Counties. Effective January 31, 2022, the Head Start Program Performance Standards, to which Community Concepts is contractually bound, will be requiring all Head Start staff to comply with its universal masking policy and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical/disability or religious exemption, in which case they must test on at least a weekly basis and have a negative test to remain in the classroom.
