The Senior Marketing Manager acts as a storytelling expert, crafting impactful marketing strategies, messaging and insight-driven campaign briefs that inspire and guide cross-functional marketing members to develop and deliver high-quality and innovative marketing tactics. The candidate will utilize a variety of new and existing channels to reinforce brand equity, drive lead generation and revenue for both new product launches and existing offerings.
Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation and administration of the JMCRS Marketing Plan ensuring that activities are in line with strategic objectives, support various programs such as demand generation, public relations, sales enablement, customer acquisition, customer retention, and product evangelism and is accountable for marketing campaign performance.
Critical elements of successful performance include project leadership, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills. The Senior Manager, Marketing should have a good understanding of Biopharma marketplace, the creativity to develop unique marketing approaches and solid B2B copywriting and editing skills to ensure the development of all messaging and materials are impactful and resonate with potential customers. The ideal candidate does not manage in a hierarchical manor but seeks input from across the marketing team and JAX colleagues to develop innovative and impactful marketing plans.
In coordination with the business unit managers and product managers develop, implement and manage a strategic marketing plan, including budget and campaign briefs that are informed by marketing data and analytics, gathering competitive intelligence, voice of customer feedback and developing detailed personas.
Continually re-evaluate market trends, key persona needs, customer problems, and the competitive landscape then adjust marketing strategies as appropriate.
Develop creative and compelling positioning statements and value propositions across the various offerings, new product launches and personas.
Develop, implement and manage integrated marketing campaigns. Provide comprehensive campaign briefs that provide clarity and direction for marketing, sales and business units.
Collaborate with sales, inside sales and marketing operations to develop outreach plans including account-based marketing programs.
Develop and manage the content strategy that supports Business needs, drives lead generation and supports sales and Technical Information Scientists (TIS) needs.
Collaborate with Sales, Product Managers and TIS to define the event strategy including hosted digital events and live events at domestic and international meetings and trade shows.
Establish realistic timelines, milestones, budgets and deliverables and ensure they meet the needs of stakeholders.
Collect, interpret and communicate campaign and marketing activity results to stakeholders to inform ad/platform performance and future activities.
Use data and analytics to optimize the marketing funnel program and campaign strategies, evaluating performance across program goals and critical metrics to forecast trends, communicating results to a broad audience of sales, marketing, and product leadership
Bachelor's degree Marketing or business related field with advanced coursework in Marketing or Masters in Marketing
3+ years of experience in building, developing and leading a team of marketing professionals
7+ years of direct marketing experience, with direct experience managing marketing campaigns and cross-functional marketing projects.
Proven ability to drive innovative and effective marketing programs that generate results such as Lead Scoring, Account Based Marketing, and Web Personalization
Must be able to work with technical scientists to develop and edit marketing content and author content with considerable independence and flexibility to ensure quality, technical accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
Experience in scheduling and managing multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders under tight deadlines. Experience managing advertising or promotion schedules and marketing calendars is highly preferred.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM systems), Marketing automation systems and Web publishing and metric capture is preferred.
