Alight - Professional Services Operations Coordinator (Onboarding & Workday Training)

The Operations Coordinator (Onboarding & Workday Training) will perform tasks based on manager direction that support day-to day operations in one or more of the following functional areas: Transformation & Colleague Standards (Training, Resource Management, and Talent Acquisition & Development), Client Management Standards, Reporting & Collaboration and Delivery Standards & Governance in addition to other Operational tasks. The Operations Coordinator will help to enhance processes and work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.

As an Operations Coordinator in Onboarding & Workday Training, you will primarily be responsible for addressing inquiries related to Workday training and processing Workday training enrollment requests globally. You will also help support the onboarding process for new colleagues, develop and maintain onboarding and internal training materials, and deliver internal training for colleagues as needed. A willingness to learn, being adaptable to change, understanding how to communicate changes and help leaders with issues, and collaborating with colleagues from different regions will be important to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Act as liaison between Workday and Alight

Monitor Workday training mailboxes for the U.S. and other global regions including North America (NA), Europe, Middle East, & Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC)

Process Workday training enrollment requests and provide resolutions for Workday training related inquiries

Collaborate with training colleagues from different regions on related issues

Assist in the onboarding process of new colleagues and support training needs throughout the certification period

Help develop onboarding and internal certification preparation training materials for Workday modules

Facilitate in-person and remote internal certification preparation training for colleagues and large groups as needed

Support management of training inventory in the Practice Areas in all global regions

Collaborate with team to determine appropriate training content to centralize

Update and maintain recorded training material for onboarding and internal certification preparation training

Provide metrics and status reports on certification and re-certification to leadership

Be a self-starter and innovator, to help create new ways to teach material and ensure passage of Workday Certifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience


Experience with HCM systems and HR practices in training or implementation

Relevant professional level operations/business experience

Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills

Excellent oral communication and presentation skills

Proven organizational skills; able to absorb inputs from various sources and synthesize into actionable steps

Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to a changing business environment

Ability to manage time between competing priorities

Proven ability to create training materials

Proven ability to facilitate training for large groups

Open to learning new processes and Workday modules for training purposes

Detail oriented

Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Proficient in SharePoint


Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or relevant field of study OR equivalent work experience preferred

Experience in technology projects/implementations/software training
