Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities: *Must be able to perform basic homestyle cooking and food-prep tasks in accordance with standard food safety and infection control practices. *Must be able to cook for a crowd of 50 individuals.*Will adhere to a Dietician-approved menu.*Ensure that the appropriate alternative meal available to residents upon request in accordance with prescribed/preferred diets.*Maintains clean kitchen/food storage/service/dining areas.*Document temperatures of the refrigerator and freezer units according to compliance. *Will assist in receiving, rotating and storage of food product. *Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work both independently and with a team while providing general direction to the Dietary Aides. *This person must be able to interact with residents in a calm, patient, and compassionate manner.*May perform other duties as assigned.
