Job Description

The Jackson Laboratory is seeking an experienced professional to join the Facilities Maintenance and Operations Team as an HVAC Technician for our Bar Harbor, ME campus! This person will participate in the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance and repair of HVAC and other mechanical systems throughout the campus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC and mechanical systems.

Working up to personal ability level in other Maintenance trades as needed.

Participate in an on-call rotation that may require work outside of normal business hours.

 

Qualifications:

1 year of experience

Associate's degree or equivalent or technical school in HVAC preferred

Demonstrated ability to work safely on complex pneumatic, piping, mechanical and structural systems.

Electrical troubleshooting, PLC knowledge, Precision alignment, Welding, Plumbing skills and Journeyman certification will be highly regarded

Ability to work as team player with minimal supervision.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to learn modern precision maintenance techniques.

Demonstrated ability to work with computers in a Windows environment.
