Finance Department - The City of Portland’s Finance department is seeking a Senior Administrative Officer II.  This person should have experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable; developing budgets; and related financial activity for the City.  Primary Duties:  Responsible for reviewing accounts payable for all City departments to ensure accuracy of data entry for funding source, dollar amounts, dates, etc.  Produces monthly Fish Pier invoices and financial statements and assists with developing annual Fish Pier budget.  Reviews & certifies check advances, wires and ACH requests.  Requirements:   Experience in public management and administration; and graduation from a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a closely related field or any equivalent combination of experience and training.  Ability to analyze administrative and accounting problems, to make sound recommendations for their solution, and to prepare working procedures.  Excellent customer service and communications skills.  Solid understanding of financial software and spreadsheet software. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.  Pay range starting at $976.13/week ($26.03/hour).
