Pearson Classroom Assessment Products is in search of part time trainers with an educational background to deliver web-based or onsite product training and professional development. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven facilitation skills to adult learners. The ideal candidate should be organized, have excellent customer relation skills and a strong work ethic. This is a needs-based, per-diem, position that requires extensive travel during our peak season (August-October).
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or closely related field
Bachelor’s Degree in closely related field with five years of experience with administration and interpretation of preK-12 assessment instruments
+ Experience delivering professional development to educators in a variety of learning formats
+ Test administration and scoring experience with preK-12 benchmark and progress monitoring measures
+ Knowledge of and experience with Response to Intervention (RTI) multi-tiered approaches as well as regulations pertaining to special education
+ Direct experience using aimswebPlus, DRA3, WriteToLearn, Review360, BASC-3 BESS, SSIS SEL, and/or Shaywitz DyslexiaScreen is preferred
+ Experience with using educational technologies for test administration and reports
+ Proficient with interpreting normative and criterion-referenced student data
+ Keep accurate records of training sessions and submitting reports
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
+ Proficient using Zoom to deliver high quality webinars to customers
+ Experience with using professional development materials and adapting trainings to meet individual customer needs
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Understanding and application of adult learning concepts with professional development delivery
+ Detail oriented and ability to work well in a changing environment
+ Ability to travel extensively during peak seasons (July-October)
+ 60% Deliver instructionally sound product training to customers using a variety of learning mediums (onsite and web-based)
+ 15% Collaboration with the Pearson internal team to stay up-to-date on product releases and training revisions; attend required monthly meetings
+ 15% Plan and travel independently
+ 10% Work with customers to understand specific training needs and make modifications to meet these needs
As a part-time trainer you must provide your own technology (up-to-date personal computer and reliable internet service) to deliver professional development in both the webinar and onsite formats. Microsoft 365 will be provided upon employment at Pearson.
Please note that the pay rate for this position depends on the task that you will be assigned to
Development/Prep - $50 /hr
Delivery - $100/hr
Travel and Administrative Tasks - $15/hr
The position is open to applicants in any state, and hourly rates, while generally between min and max may vary depending on a location’s minimum wage. The anticipated starting hourly wage for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is max. This position is not eligible to participate in an incentive program.
