Job Description

FUNCTION: Supports the Compliance Department in maintaining strategic alignment between the regulatory environment and bank operations. Responsible for supporting the overall execution and administration of the Bank’s Compliance management program. Develops and maintains compliance reporting, analytics, and supports change processes to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Provides support for the Risk Management activities of the Bank in a manner that ensures quality and cost efficiency.Reports to the Director of Compliance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

+ Supports the regulatory change process by researching and coordinating with Compliance on consumer and institutional regulations, reviewing regulatory bulletins and other sources of information, staying informed on regulatory trends, identifying changes and keeping abreast of impactful legislation and regulations, both state and federal.

+ Performs analytics on compliance items and the regulatory environment including and not limited to complaint statistics, trends, analysis, and business line quality control data.

+ Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Supports departmental reporting functions.

+ Interacts and supports building out the process to function as a compliance liaison who coordinates between business lines to raise and maintain compliance awareness; identify and address risk areas; support a proactive approach toward investigation and resolving potential compliance issues that are identified in quality assurance, quality control, audits or exams.

+ Supports the compliance management program to ensure effectiveness and communicates status and changes to appropriate personal, as needed.

+ Researches and provides assistance and guidance to all employees on less complex compliance inquiries.

+ Provides support and guidance regarding Bank Policy, including maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.

+ Assists in preparing for federal and/or state regulatory compliance examinations. Works with examiners to gather requested information.

+ Assists in preparing for external compliance audits and acts as a resource to research audit findings.

+ Reviews new and revised advertising or product presentations in all mediums for compliance with applicable regulations.

+ Supports compliance strategic initiatives and project initiatives.

+ All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements: customize to fit the job:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required, college, business or banking professional training helpful.

Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:

+ General office environment.

+ Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.
