This work is of a supervisory nature overseeing employment, training, and employer services programs. Responsibilities will focus on day-to-day on-site and virtual services as well as direct supervision of staff performing those services. Duties also include developing, administering, and monitoring caseload budgets and grants for employment and training programs; preparing federal and state reports; and training local office staff on new and revised guidelines, rules, and procedures.
+ Supervises, trains, hires, and evaluates direct service CareerCenter staff in order to ensure program goals and objectives are met
+ Develops and maintains standard operating procedures concerning program purpose, workflow, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
+ Develops, implements, and conducts training programs in order to maintain staff proficiency; enhance program operations; and update staff on new and revised guidelines, rules, policies, and procedures.
+ Monitors and evaluates programs in order to determine program effectiveness, needs, and adherence to established guidelines.
+ Researches, analyzes, and solves operational and programmatic problems in order to improve program effectiveness and efficiency.
+ Prepares written materials in order to provide information to the public.

Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in developing, coordinating, and administering employment and training programs and services r closely related field and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, Education, or one of the Social Sciences. Work experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferencewill be given to applicants who:
+ Have strong supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership skills
+ Direct lived experience or experience supporting populations often overlooked in the workforce (e.g. opportunity youth, second chance hires, individuals with disabilities, refugees, people of color, etc.)
+ Are bilingual or multi-lingual in English in addition to any of the following languages: Arabic, French, Khmer, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese

The bi-weekly dollar values of some State-paid benefits include:
+ 13.16% of pay to retirement for bargaining unit positions
+ The value of State-paid Dental Insurance: $14.60 biweekly.
