Position Summary

Pen Bay Medical Center's Neurology practice has an immediate full time, day shift opening for an EEG Technician to join our care team.

The EEG Technician will perform EEG tests when requested by a physician. As part of the testing process, an EEG Technician will gather a patient's medical history, explain testing procedures, and prepare the patient for the procedure. During testing, the EEG technician will monitor the patient's status and note any abnormalities. The EEG Technician preforms EEG recordings on both outpatients and inpatients using Natus EEG equipment.

The Lead Technician of Neurology is responsible for the administrative and technical direction of the Neurology Department. Develops, interprets, and implements department policies, budget and long-range plans. Assures that high quality age-specific (neonate-geriatric) care is provided.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

 

Education: Post-high school training. Specialized training or completion of accredited EEG course or minimum one year training with electroencephalographer.

License/Certifications: N/A

Experience: N/A

Department medical instrumentation such as: 17 Channel EEG machine and Ambulatory EEG recorder.

Office equipment such as: Photocopier, fax machine and computer.
