Job Description:

The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer's role is to continuously improve reliability and performance of software products and applications. The responsibilities of the SQA position will include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. The SQA position will track quality assurance metrics to ensure the IT systems supporting the organization's operations function properly and efficiently.

Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

Design, develop and execute automation scripts

Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs

Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

Monitor debugging process results

Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions

Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Proven work experience in software development and quality assurance in C# and SQL

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies

Knowledge of software QA methodologies, automation tools and processes

Analytical problem-solving skills

Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time

Ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences

Personal traits of a high-level commitment, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty and integrity

High level of attention to detail

Additional Information:
