Job Summary:Come join an incredible team! MaineGeneral Health, the third largest health care system in Maine, is seeking an experienced CNA to join our team at Physiatry!

Job Description:

+ Follow procedures for collection of specimens.

+ Obtains and records temperature, pulse, respiratory rate and blood pressure.

+ Obtains and records height, weight and BMI.

+ Documents patient stated pain level. Assists with body movement and ambulation. Preps charts for appointments.

+ Applies/utilizes special equipment properly. Uses proper techniques to position lift, transfer and ambulate patient. Assists with paperwork as need (i.e. Prior Authorizations, insurance paperwork, etc) Assists with set up of equipment as needed (EMG machine, EKG machine, etc).

+ Assists with maintaining unit supplies. Prepares exam rooms/treatment rooms for next patient.

+ Clean tools/equipment as specified in department procedures

+ Makes and returns calls to patients

The ideal candidate will have:

+ Must be listed as active on the State of Maine CNA Registry and in good standing

+ BLS required within 3 months of hire1 years prior experience

+ Eager and willing to learn as well as be the primary support person for the team they are on

+ Office experience preferred but, willing to train the right candidate

+ Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office Applications Ability to work independently, effective time management and problem solving skills, able to manage multiple priorities

+ Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

+ Ability to react calmly, objectively and effectively in emergency situations.

+ Requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
