Job Description

FUNCTION: Working proactively with loan officers, a Mid to Senior Level Senior Credit Analyst prepares independent comprehensive written presentations of the Bank’s existing and prospective commercial lending relationships, including, but not limited to C&I, CRE, and community development transactions.


+ Assesses the borrower’s overall financial condition; details risks and mitigants; evaluates the adequacy of repayment sources, including cash flow, leverage, collateral adequacy, guarantor strength

+ Assesses compliance with regulatory guidelines and identifies exceptions to loan policy; and recommends appropriate risk ratings

+ May assist with other responsibilities such as, but not limited to, the training and development of credit analysts; Management Loan Committee activities; technology initiatives; appraisal coordination and/or review; and/or other special projects as assigned

+ Occasionally accompany relationship manager on business calls to assist in assessing borrower risk

+ Informs management of problems, developments, recommendations, enhancements pertaining to loan origination support of refinance/restructure products

+ Assists in ensuring that the Bank complies with local, state and federal regulations


+ Interacts harmoniously and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of bank goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork, especially between the underwriting and lending functions

+ Conforms to acceptable punctuality/attendance standards as expressed in the Employee Handbook


+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Bachelors Degree in Business or Accounting related field

+ 2-5+ years of commercial credit experience

+ Strong analytical and organizational skills with an ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management

+ Excellent customer service skills

+ Prior success in a customer contact role desirable

+ Strong communications skills, verbal and written

+ Strong PC skills


+ General office environment

+ Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required
