NFI North Finson Road is generally a long term placement for older adults, 60-plus with varied strengths and challenges. Our participants require support, encouragement and occasionally physical assistance to remain as independent as possible.
The Shift Supervisor must possess skills to oversee and organize their shift, provide case management, supervise and assist in the development of counselors, in addition to giving direct care to participants and participate in on-call rotation.
A Bachelor's degree in human services or related field would be preferred; however, equivalent experience is also acceptable. It is important for candidates to have the ability to recognize each of our participants uniqueness, with their own needs and desires. Candidates must be flexible, possess the ability to be multi-tasked and have a willingness to learn the clinical issues of individuals with mental illness, as well as, the cognitive deficits and multiple medical conditions that accompany the individual during the aging process, more importantly how these work together.
