The Psychology Department at Bowdoin College invites applications for a one-year, full-time, visiting assistant professor position in clinical or counseling psychology beginning July 1, 2022. A PhD in these areas by July 1, 2022 is preferred; ABD considered. Teaching responsibilities include two in-person courses per semester. Topics for these courses include: Introduction to Psychology or Research Methods, a course in Abnormal Psychology, a laboratory (research-based) course in clinical/abnormal psychology, and an advanced seminar in the candidate’s area of specialization.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and a readiness to involve undergraduates in their research.
