The Town of Southport is looking to hire a full-time Public Works Department employee. Applicants must be able to do physical labor, operate loader-backhoe equipment, and drive a municipal plow truck. Applicants must have a clean driving record with a CDL, or be willing to obtain a CDL within one year. Position requires being on call for winter road maintenance 24/7, self-motivation, and good public relation skills.
Pay is commensurate with experience, and will be discussed during interviews. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid holidays, and paid vacation after first year of employment.
