Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. The Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD) program is seeking Quality Assurance Manager to join their team .

This is a remote/teleworking opportunity!

The Navy Directorate for Information Dominance is consolidating all Tier-1 IT service desks and moving from a human-centered Subject Matter Expert (SME)-based business model to a business model using a knowledge-based solution called Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD). One of the main goals of NESD is to consolidate IT Tier-1 service desks to include all the current people, processes, and technology while gaining efficiencies of consolidation.

As a Quality Manager, you will predominately perform the following:

Essential Functions:

+ Responsible for the oversight of the NESD Quality Program

+ Host working group meetings evaluating business processes in adherence to the Quality Program

+ Develop, implement, and deploy quality processes and procedures


+ Perform internal programmatic audits

+ Develop the project’s corrective action program and facilitate the resolution closure of internal and external-driven corrective actions.

+ Support the NESD program with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 20000 compliance


+ Promote awareness to the Quality program and provide program-wide and/or ad-hoc training to individuals across the program on quality tools and best practices.


+ Support peers and senior management to promote quality initiatives and best practices to strengthen business processes company wide

+ Coordinate and audit documentation resulting from internal and external management meetings (minutes, agenda, attendance logs)

+ Support the program with correction action and lessons learned processes from cradle to grave with review the appropriate documentation is captured

Continuous Improvement:

+ Lead and perform the analysis of quality metrics and analytic outputs of issues, trends, and root causes that point to improvement opportunities

+ Analyze data, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management team about process improvements, controls, analysis, improvement progression, as requested

+ Make recommendations, plans, or suggestion that promote continuous improvement through the organization

Competencies and Skills

+ Manage time, priorities, and resources to ensure successful completion of responsibilities and requirements

+ Excellent communication skills (oral, presentation, and written).

+ Ability to analyze data, optimize processes, and eliminate waste to improve organizational productivity

+ Ability to develop and implement training to institutionalize standard procedures


+ BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

+ 10+ years of experience with quality procedures, performing reviews and developing reports

+ Experience and familiarity performing documentation and SOPs

+ Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standard

+ Secret clearance
