The Claims IT organization is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join in Reinsurance value stream on a multi-year Ceded Reinsurance Integration Initiative. This candidate will support the program initiatives specific to Ceded Reinsurance and should be proficient in using techniques that enable a highly iterative delivery approach of continuous requirement identification and will focus on delivering effective business value as quickly as possible using application of agile practices, principles and lean thinking.

Responsibilities:

The role will be responsible for conducting stakeholder interviews, requirement workshops, leading backlog refinement sessions, interacting with Product Owners, end users, and other stakeholders to illicit, document and test new requirements, test and validate existing requirements and create new user stories. The Business Analyst will provide support to developers and testers and facilitate prioritization of user stories, having a strong understanding of the business intent and the ability to help the team build business and technical requirements to comprehensively cover the business goals and objectives.

Qualifications :

+ 10+ years of deep practical experience in the role, with repeated experience performing business analysis in a variety of complex situations.

+ Ceded Reinsurance business knowledge is a must.

+ Experience working knowledge of ProCede application suite or similar Ceded Reinsurance system is a big plus.

+ Experience in Conversion/Migration of Policy/Claim Admin into ProCede or similar Ceded Reinsurance system.

+ Experience understanding integrations and data standards that develop quality documentation for data mapping documents and process flows.

+ Ability to effectively interact with all levels off the organization (ie: Entry level end-user through to senior management) and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

+ Experience working in a multi-sources offshore deliver centers and shared services environment is a plus.

+ Experience in Agile development including prioritizing, creating/updating features and stories, Test Driven Development, etc

+ Experience working as a member of a scrum team and experience with Scaled Agile framework is preferred.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$85,600 – $128,400
