PROGRAM COORDINATOR-CHRONIC DISEASE & PREVENTION
Health and Human Services Department - Public Health Division – Full-Time (37.5 hours/week), Project position - Seeking highly qualified individual to coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the Substance Use Prevention & Harm Reduction Services Program. The Coordinator will identify and implement evidence-based, population-level public health strategies to prevent youth substance use in Portland. This position will also oversee implementation of harm reduction and overdose prevention strategies throughout Greater Portland. The successful candidate will have significant staff and programmatic management experience. Additionally, experience in meeting high level grant deliverables and objectives; fiscal and programmatic reporting; grant writing; coordinating a multiple disciplinary coalition; and budget management is required. This person should demonstrate an independent, self-directed, and motivational work ethic, and have excellent skills in written and verbal communication. Experience: Graduate level degree in public health is preferred; bachelor’s degree with relevant work and management experience will be considered. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. Salary range: $61,023 - $75,044 annually.
