at Central ME Area Agency on Aging Senior Spectrum in Waterville, Maine, United States
The Regional Coordinator receives inquiries from consumers, accepts referral information for services, schedules and supervises Direct Support Specialist(DSP)/Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to meet the personal care needs of consumers, and manages the services the consumer is receiving in a designated area. As a supervisor, the Regional Coordinator must monitor open cases and the care being provided. It requires an ability to plan and make decisions for maximum effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and consumer satisfaction.
While the work is performed primarily in an office setting, travel is required on a weekly basis to meet with consumers. Reimbursement for mileage is available. After a training period, the Regional Coordinator works an on-call schedule to resolve day-to-day consumer and staff problems. This on-call schedule rotates among all of the Regional Coordinators on the team.
This is a great opportunity if you have experience coordinating services for older and disabled adults and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. Candidates must be self-motivated and have a strong attention to detail.
