Job Description:

What you will do: • The Compliance Specialist will assist with administration of the organization’s Comprehensive Compliance Program and related activities.• Serve as a compliance resource with regard to federal and state laws, rules and regulations. Stay informed of changes and interprets/communicates applicability.• Audit and monitor clinical documentation and revenue cycle processes for compliance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations. Ensure execution of corrective action when errors are identified.• Research coding, billing, documentation requirements, reimbursement and other general compliance questions/issues to provide assistance/support to departments and practices.• Develop and provide user-friendly compliance education to all levels of the MGH workforce, including Medical Staff, as applicable.

What you need to have• The position requires exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a commitment to process improvement.• Regulations are complex and always changing. It’s important to have solid research skills to find reliable sources to uncover information and answer stakeholder questions quickly and accurately.• Even-keeled, possess self-awareness, and base decisions on your analysis of fact.• Background in a health system’s Revenue Cycle operations is highly preferred. • Moderate understanding of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
