We’re currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a HomeCare & Hospice Nurse Educator position based out of our Waterville office. The Nurse Educator (RN) develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of staff.This position is 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm. The primary location is the Waterville office, but travel within the HomeCare & Hospice service area is required.Position Highlights:• Opportunity to teach, support, and mentor staff within the homecare & hospice specialty areasThe candidate will have: • Active Maine RN license or ability to obtain the same in a timely fashion, required.• HomeCare & Hospice experience, strongly preferred• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record, required• A passion for teaching and mentoring nursing colleagues as well as researching new medical information that will be disseminated to the nursing teams

Job Description:

Collaborates with entire inter-disciplinary team to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.

Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.

Creates a supportive environment for nursing research, scientific inquiry, quality improvement and evidence based practice.

Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities. Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
