The Chef/Kitchen Manager provides the leadership and management of all on-site Nutrition and Catering staff, facilities, and resources to achieve programmatic objectives and goals. They have complete ownership of all onsite kitchen and catering staff and volunteers and maintain inventory of all food, alcohol and supplies as related to the kitchen facilities.
They are responsible for the preparation and delivery of all reporting requirements for the Nutrition and Catering programs, including ADCSS food reports, food safety, incidents/injuries, finance, etc. In addition, they maintain all records for food and catering related requirements including licenses/permits, sales records, and client records and for reporting all equipment and maintenance needs. They also participate in the development of Nutrition and Catering budgets and goals each year.
As the required lead onsite ServSafe Certified Food Production Manager (CFPM), they are responsible for compliance with all HIPPA regulations and for meeting all local, state, and federal regulatory food service inspection requirements.
The ideal candidate will be able perform a wide variety of kitchen and food preparation duties and to speak clearly and comfortably to a wide variety of individuals and groups, be able to make decisions independently and sometimes quickly in situations where information may seem incomplete. They should have an understanding of the advanced techniques required to produce menu items for the first time and be able to create innovative and efficient menus and policies that deliver top-quality meals and services to Spectrum Generations consumers.
